The CDL check

The CDL check asks for one photo of the front of your license, and it keeps only your license class, state, expiration month, verification status, and a scrambled code that prevents duplicate accounts.

That photo is processed in memory and never saved. It is not written to our database, not written to file storage, and not kept after the check finishes.

Your license number, your name, your address, and your date of birth are never stored. The scrambled code cannot be turned back into your license number.

We never sell personal data

We never sell personal data. We do not rent it, and we do not trade it to data brokers or advertisers.

We share information with the service providers that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery, and the verification check, and only so they can do that work.

We also share information when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone from harm.

Your legal name and work history

Your legal name, if you add work history, is shared only with that company for confirmation. It is not shown on your public profile and it is not shown on your reviews.

A confirmed work history entry appears publicly as the company, the dates, and a verified tag, without your legal name.

You can remove a work history entry at any time from your driver pages.

How your reviews appear

Reviews appear under your handle or your name, whichever you chose when you wrote them. That choice is yours on every review, and the default is your handle.

A verified employee tag only appears on a review when you turn it on yourself, and we warn you first that the tag can make you easier to identify at a small company.

What else we keep

Your account record holds your email address, your handle, your account type, your home state, and your saved driver preferences.

Carrier accounts also hold the first name, last name, and work email of the company representative, which stay private to that company and to us.

We keep basic usage counts on company pages, such as profile views and search appearances, so a company can see how its page performs. Those counts are not tied to your account.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, your preferences, and your work history at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and we will remove your account record.

Reviews you already published may stay on the site without your account details attached, because other readers relied on them.
